Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to various full-time, online, and distance undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2027 academic year at North-West University.

When You Can Apply

Regardless of the country you are applying from, the North-West University application portal for the 2027 academic year will be open from June to 31 October 2026. Who Can Apply?

Candidates who are currently in Grade 11, matriculants in Grade 12, and previous applicants whose applications were unsuccessful are invited to apply to North-West University. International and transfer students are also eligible for the NWU 2027 application cycle. Applicants must satisfy all entry requirements and submit their applications before the deadline to secure admission.

Application Materials Required

The minimum requirements for securing admission to North-West University (NWU) include a valid, unique, and personal email address, an ID document, and final Grade 11 or Grade 12 results. Cost of Application

  • Physiology and Biochemistry: Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiology and Biochemistry or Physiology and Psychology.
  • Consumer Sciences: Bachelor of Consumer Studies (General, Food Product Management, or Fashion Retail Management).
  • Dietetics: Bachelor of Science in Dietetics.
  • Occupational Hygiene: Bachelor of Health Sciences in Occupational Hygiene.
  • Psychosocial Health: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Labour Relations Management, Tourism Management, or Geography and Environmental Management; Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology; and Bachelor of Social Work.

Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences

  • Diplomas: Animal Health, Animal Science, and Plant Science with Crop Production.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc): Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Geography, Electronics, Economy, Statistics, and Indigenous Knowledge Systems.
